Although a truly gifted hairstylist, Kiri Koshiba has no interest in using her talent to pursue fame and fortune, unlike the three popular boys in the “Scissors Project” at school. Determined to become the best makeover team in Japan, they give showy makeovers to handpicked girls. As much as Kiri tries to shy away from the Scissors Project spotlight, she finds herself responding to beauty’s call…
I enjoyed this series; the idea of the whole series in general really tweaked my interest – A group of talented kids called the “Sissors Project” doing makeovers on the less attractive or upset class mates in order for them to be happier who their image and to give them confidence in what they do – it’s so sweet! On a side note I found the main male character, Narumi is quite irritating – he’s rude and quite mean too, but he does grow on you as the series progresses.
All in all this is worth a read; I do wish that we got to experience more of Kiri’s talent before the series came to a close as she just got better and better; but you can’t have everything can you?
